Electronic Renaissance

Happy holidays.

Every year I do a top 10 list of the best records. This year, I tried coming up with a top 10, then it became a top 25, then a top 35, and then I finally decided that making lists is a futile exercise. All I will say is that Destroyer's Rubies is my favourite record from '06 and that you should try (legally, illegally, whatever) AT LEAST the ones I've marked with the "TOP 10" designation, if not all of the albums. We'll start with the bad and move towards the best of the best.

It was a pretty great year for music.

August will be a slow month as I try to readjust to life in the real world.

Here's a summary of the weekend:

Our first day of the 2006 Sasquatch! Festival in George, Washington would feature giant hail, Superman saving our lives, mysterious bruises, some boring music, and a lot of great music.

June isn't as crazy as May, but it has its fair share of excitement. Here's the schedule.
